Clinical Pilates is a modification of traditional Pilates developed by physiotherapists, movement specialists and biomechanics experts for people experiencing acute or chronic pain, suffering from illness or recovering from surgery or injury. These classes taught by degree level therapists or clinicians specialising in movement dysfunction and utilise the most up to date research on movement and exercise therapy.

Many exercises are adapted for each individual person to enable correct function and control, and the clinician is able to identify incorrect muscle activity. These classes focus more on isolated muscle activity (individual muscles or group).
This is a Level 4 class and focuses on number of challenging isolated, compound and functional exercises and stretches. She will give her clinical expertise and education to feel and understand the strengths and weaknesses in the body and how this could be contributing to pain and dysfunction. These classes assume a high level of core control and quick set up and will be a faster pace than lower level classes, will include more dynamic exercises, resistance and unstable surfaces than other classes.

Suitable for those who have overcome spinal, joint or muscle injury but still have muscle pain and stiffness and require clinical expertise to be pushed to their limit of stability and flexibility.

Suitable for those who partake in Sport or other forms of exercise.

Not suitable for those with acute joint, nerve or muscle pain.
